Young Men's Health Group

Young Men’s Health Group (YMHG) is a youth-led, discussion-based group focused on understanding the issues that surround growing up as young men, and in particular, but not limited to young men of color. YMHG is for students to take a critical and introspective look at masculinity and reimagine it in ways that can better serve them, their community, and their loved ones.

The curriculum content is flexible to best meet the needs of each group. It often includes the following: communication, healthy relationships, boundaries, sexual health, harm reduction, and navigating the world with confidence and empathy.

This program is supported by SFUSD and is offered in middle schools and high schools across San Francisco including Balboa, Independence, Downtown, and others.
