Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Questioning (LGBTQQ) Leadership & Allyship Program

The LGBTQQ Leadership and Allyship Program is a pilot program aimed at building skill and sensitivity among San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) middle school students, faculty, and staff to create safer and supportive environments that promote acceptance of LGBTQQ youth. This program works to develop students, faculty, and staff as community leaders to address issues such as homophobia, heterosexism, gender, sexuality, self-image, self-confidence, bullying, and harrasment particularly at their school settings. The program was designed in partnership with SFUSD’s School Health Programs.

The target schools are Aptos, Denman and Presidio Middle Schools. Target schools were determined with SFUSD, particularly to offer services to schools with populations that have more limited access to existing LGBTQQ services within San Francisco.
