LGBT YOUTH (12N) FOR PROVIDERS:
HIFY is now offering the LGBT Youth (12N) for Providers course.
Description: It’s not just about rainbow flags and HIV. Homophobia affects the well-being of all young people, whether they are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, two spirit, queer, intersex, questioning (LGBT2SQIQ) or straight. This interactive training gives you the knowledge and skills to create a safe place for all young people to explore their sexuality and gender regardless of how they identify. We also discuss specific health concerns and work on ways to develop our own ability to be allies.
(this course meets the requirements for seven hours of continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSW as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences; for Certified Addiction Treatment Specialists through the CA Associaton of Alcohol and Drug Educators, and for RNs through the CA Board of Registered Nursing).
