The Peer Educators program focuses on encouraging youth of color to explore behavioral health careers by training students in a range of mental and behavioral health issues at three Oakland high schools.
These young educators work to reduce stigma related to seeing and giving help for emotional and behavioral issues that their peers and community might be facing.
This program is currently in three Oakland schools:
Castlemont High School
Oakland High School
Oakland Technical School
Funding Source: Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services (ACBHCS)
